Due to renewal of the year in Norouz, all people buy new cloths, chocolate, sweet and other gifts for their friends, relatives, and family members. Right at time, when most of the people are busy with their shopping, cleaning their houses, and getting ready for arrival of new year, many ill children and their families have to spend their time, even during the feast days, in hospitals under difficult and heavy conditions. The children in orphanages, too, have no better condition. The objective of Imam Ali Society is utilizing religious and national tradition for promotion of philanthropy culture and caring for others. In line with that, the Society has developed a program to protect these children by somehow drawing people’s attention towards them and encouraging the people to care about these children. This is the rational for the project “smell of Norouz eve” to be implemented by Imam Ali Society in hospitals, orphanages, and welfare centers on the last days of each year just before Norouz

Project Objectives:

• Creation of a joyful condition for children in welfare centers and hospitals at the eve of new year.
• Bringing happiness and hope to children in welfare centers and hospitals at the eve of new year.
• Collecting charity aids to be paid for provision of medicine and lab supplies and hospitalization charges of poor and ill children.
• Contributing to improvement of existing conditions in children hospitals and welfare centers and sharing the information on these centers with people.

• Acquainting the people and students with children hospitals, welfare centers, and the existing orphanages of the country and promotion of a culture to pay attention to these centers.
