We cry for yesterday's Moslem children, do we try for today's Moslem children?

The Imam Ali population established a plan called the "Teflane moslem plan" in Tasooa in respect of the tradition of the martyrs' master and majesty, Imam Hussein, who rose up for the rights of the poor and helping the deprived , just like the holy month of Ramadan started the custom of the lover wanderers. This plan was held aimed for solution and analysis of the children's social disasters and was focused on the children of the nurture and renovation home(Kanoon) for the first year, the population members faced a different atmosphere of what comes to the people's mind when they hear the Kanoon prisoners at their first visits to the Kanoon center. Young poor children and teenagers who have mainly immigrated from their cities or villages for work, and have been imprisoned just for a sudden mistake in alien and loneliness. After reading their files and analyzing some of some of the prisoners' situations and knowing their families a number of them are chosen and decision is made on doing effort on their freedom since Arbaeen to Tasooa. One of the main goals of the population is to courage the charity volunteer's ‌ who helped the release of any prisoner to take the responsibility of any after freedom affairs of them in order to prevent them from returning to the crime. We hope for the day that the field for victimizing the children of society disappears.

[ Notes:

- Teflan Moslem is the symbol of poor children at the time of Imam Ali to Muslims
- Students at the group are university students
- Kanoon: "Kanoon Eslaho Tarbiat" is the special prison keeping children and teenagers
- Arbaeen and Tasooa are religious Islamic ceremonies]

Omid’s Freedom PDF Print E-mail
Written by Babak Sahafian
Sunday, 28 February 2010 02:55

By grace of God, Omid was released last week.

Omid was sentenced to pay atonement of 360 million Rials, for attending in a quarrel and beating with a knife. Omid, the eldest son of the family continued his studies to the third grade of high schoolhis father was a building painter; however, due to severe addiction he lost his work. At this age, as his mother asked him, Omid left studying to fill the gap of his father’ presence; the father whose body is alive but his soul has been gone for many years, so Omid had to bring home the bacon; A father, who according to Sharmin’s talks, his hands, belong to a hardworking Man.

I remember how the mother still feels guilty for her request of Omid’s abounding his school. We should thank God that they have a good mother taking care of them. When you enter their dark and cold home, only the light of kids’ face has warmed there. Kazem, Javad, Arezoo; however, the absence of Hamid-Reza at home and his too much solitude have worried us a little. Kazem is a wrestler and has got some medals. Zahra is a studious girl and wishes to be a lawyer in the future.

By the assistance and intervene of Mr. Ramadani, the director of ‘congregation hall of Muharram’ (Hussainia) of the area where Omid lives, the claimant satisfied for atonement of 150 million Rials; 100 million of which was paid by the Society.

One of the conditions for claimant’s satisfaction was finding a job for his beaten son. Soon we have plan to hold a ceremony and a ‘praying ceremony’, accompany with some members of the congregation hall (Hussainia), in order to acknowledge the claimant’s forgiveness.

Ali Ghelich-Khani, is responsible for following Omid’s family condition. The main aim is supporting the children, finding a suitable work for Omid and helping his father to leave the addiction.

One day by the effort of Akbar Rajabi, we went to Omid’s home with the hope of making his father go to the camp and leave his addiction. Unfortunately, despite of exuberant existence of Akbar, we didn’t succeed. And now, with his recommendation, we’ve decided to take the children to the Nar-anon Society (established for the families who have felt the desperation and misery of having an addict in the family).

We wish the most beautiful days for this family.
